The 2025 Guangzhou International Light Festival opened on November 16 and will run through November 26, highlighting the vibrancy of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the spirit of China's 15th National Games.

The festival features installations along the city's new central axis, including main venues Huacheng Square and Haixinsha Asian Games Park, as well as sub-venues along the banks of the Pearl River and in Huangpu District.

The giant "Ao Fish", the mythical dragon-headed fish that dazzled audiences during the opening of the 15th National Games, "swam" into the festival, drawing cheers from visitors. Other iconic elements from the Games' opening ceremony also appeared as light-art pieces, including the floating banana leaf installation and the inflatable kapok blossom transformed into a luminous sculpture.

The festival combines light shows, AIGC-powered creativity, interactive projections, and live performances. Several installations fuse lighting with performing arts, bringing Guangzhou's National Games history to life in an immersive experience.

For the first time, Canton Tower, the Guangzhou CTF Finance Centre, and the Guangzhou International Finance Center collaborated to present a synchronized light show, with eight sail-shaped LED screens creating a 360-degree visual panorama.

Visitors can reserve entry through the "廣州國(guó)際燈光節(jié)" and "廣州海心沙" official WeChat accounts, or the "穗好辦" and "蓓蕾花城滿(mǎn)座" WeChat mini-programs, using valid identification such as a resident ID card or passport.
